Is A Discovery of Witches on Netflix?
By FS staff
Ready for a little bit of magic, even more romance, and some serious cliffhangers? Then you should definitely check out A Discovery of Witches.
Based on the novel of the same name, A Discovery of Witches is the first installment in the All Souls trilogy by Deborah Harkness, followed by Shadow of Night and finally, The Book of Life. Currently, this supernatural romance series has one season under its belt and a second currently airing.
The highly-anticipated second season premiered earlier this month, and so there’s no time like the present to discover when and where to start watching A Discovery of Witches in real-time. But first, let’s go over the premise. Shall we?
What is A Discovery of Witches about?
IMDb describes the plot for this one as:
"Diana Bishop, historian and witch, accesses Ashmole 782 and knows she must solve its mysteries. She is offered help by the enigmatic Matthew Clairmont, but he’s a vampire and witches should never trust vampires."
The Rotten Tomatoes Critics Consensus says the series “smartly grounds its flights of fancy with a lived-in authenticity” and “harnesses the chemistry between its two star-crossed leads to make for a promising foray into the occult,” and we’d tend to agree with that.
Is A Discovery of Witches streaming on Netflix?
Sadly, A Discovery of Witches is not on Netflix. Not yet, anyway. If you’re streaming in the US and want to watch it right now, you can catch this fantasy-romance series on Shudder or on Sundance Now. In the UK, it’s currently available to watch on Sky One.
As noted by AMC, season 2 of A Discovery of Witches is also available on AMC+ and AMC Premiere, with episodes streamable on a weekly basis following the UK premiere of each new episode.
