If you’re a fan of true crime documentaries, then you’re in luck. A series chronicling the investigation into and the eventual capture of an American serial killer dubbed the Night Stalker is coming to Netflix on January 13, 2021.

For those of you who don’t know, the Night Stalker terrorized the residents of Los Angeles and San Francisco with a series of home invasions and murders from June 1984 until August 1985.

Night Stalker: The Hunt for a Serial Killer synopsis

As reported by PureWow, the four-episode docuseries will be told from the point of view of L.A. County Sheriff’s Department detectives Gil Carrillo and Frank Salerno, who were the ones to eventually crack the case. The story will be laid out using archive footage, interviews, and pictures. All four installments will premiere on January 13, 2021.

The Night Stalker was responsible for at least 14 heinous murders, with the victims ranging in age, race, and socioeconomic background. The killer was eventually found to be a man named Richard Ramirez. Ramirez was captured on August 30, 1985, and was convicted of all charges and sentenced to death.

He died of B-cell lymphoma while awaiting execution, having been on death row for more than 23 years.
