Based on the novel of the same name by Stephen King, The Stand premiered on CBS All Access on December 17, 2020. The dark fantasy series follows a group of survivors who are attempting to navigate a world ravaged by plague.

With humanity’s future at stake, those remaining must band together when a dangerous stranger with unimaginable powers ushers in new nightmares.

The series has an all-star cast, featuring the talents of James Marsden as Stu Redman, Odessa Young as Frannie Goldsmith, Owen Teague as Harold Lauder, Alexander Skarsgård as Randall Flagg, and Whoopi Goldberg as Mother Abagail.

For those of you who don’t know, Randall Flagg is actually a pretty iconic Stephen King character. The sorcerer has appeared in at least nine of King’s novels! However, Flagg makes his first appearance in The Stand novel.

If you’re wondering whether or not you can watch the new series on Netflix, then you’ve clicked on the right article. Without further ado, you can find the answer you seek below.

Is The Stand available to watch on Netflix?

Netflix users have a seemingly endless array of movies and television shows available at their fingertips, but unfortunately, this Stephen King adaptation is not one of them. The nine-episode miniseries is a CBS All Access Original.

Where to watch The Stand

As of right now, you can watch the first two episodes of The Stand, titled “The End” and “Pocket Savior” on CBS All Access. Since only the first two episodes are available, and the series won’t conclude until February 2021, it doesn’t seem likely that the show will be on Netflix anytime soon.
