When is Shadow and Bone coming to Netflix?

Grishaverse fans!! Your time is here. You’ve waited…a long time, but the wait is almost over. Netflix’s Shadow and Bone finally has a release date (or at least a month). A short teaser was also released on the show’s Twitter account.

So when will we finally be able to see the magic and mystery of Shadow and Bone? The show will be coming to Netflix in April 2021. Only four months away! After the long wait fans have had, four months is practically nothing.

Unfortunately, we didn’t just get the exact release date. That will come later, but we did get to see a short teaser that doesn’t give much away. It begins by showing what looks like ice-covered branches but turns out to be a huge white, ice-covered stag staring out at us. It’s in the middle of a snowy forest. And is that a crow that you can just see flying across the corner of the screen? Interesting…

The image then morphs into hands holding a light and then pulls back to what looks like a woman with long hair. She’s holding the light. Is it Alina? Or is it someone else? The scene then turns black and a voice (kind of sounds like Ben Barnes) says “You and I are going to change the world.” The teaser ends with the Shadow and Bone title and the release month.

This latest news comes after a long stretch of almost no news at all. The show had a panel at this year’s New York Comic-Con, but the only thing that was really revealed was the show’s theme song. This is probably the biggest news we’ve gotten since the cast was announced.

Hopefully, now that Shadow and Bones has a release date, a trailer and other promotional goodies will be coming sooner rather than later.

Besides some of the bigger Netflix shows, like The Witcher and Stranger Things, coming back for a new season, this is going to be one of the biggest Netflix premieres of 2021.
