Hearties might want to make sure they’re sitting down because it seems When Calls the Heart will be leaving Netflix in January 2021, with all currently available seasons being removed from Netflix.

In announcing its January 2021 releases, Netflix also confirmed the list of shows and movies set to be removed from its library as the new year begins. Unfortunately, among the list of departing titles was Hallmark’s beloved period drama inspired by Janette Oke’s best-selling book series.

Although the news is not quite what we Hearties were hoping for, the writing seemed to have been on the wall as Netflix had yet to many any announcements about the acquisition of the show’s two most recent seasons.

While we had hoped for news on When Calls the Heart season 6 and season 7’s Netflix release date, it seems Crown Media ultimately decided not to ink a new deal with Netflix to extend the series’ time on Netflix.

When is When Calls the Heart leaving Netflix?

As confirmed by Netflix when announcing its January schedule, When Calls the Heart will be leaving its library at the top of the new year. While the series will be leaving Netflix in January, the good news is that fans will have a decent amount of time to catch up to and rewatch the show before it leaves.

When Calls the Heart seasons 1-5 will officially leave Netflix on Sunday, January 24, 2021, meaning there are only a few weeks left to enjoy trips to Hope Valley before the show leaves Netflix for good. Luckily, this should give fans plenty of time to enjoy one last marathon before the show bids Netflix goodbye!

We can also hope that with seasons 1-5 leaving Netflix, the seasons might release on Hallmark’s streaming service where they can stream alongside the show’s spinoff series When Hope Calls.
