I Am Not Okay With This

Life is hard. Being a teenage girl can sometimes feel impossible. I remember what it was like. It’s not a time of my life I’d like to redo.

I Am Not Okay With This delves into the difficulties of being a teenager without being too depressing about it at the same time. It shows that there are good things, but you have to often fight to hold onto them. That’s what makes it one of the best teen Netflix shows of 2020.

The show isn’t just a coming-of-age dramedy. It’s not just about a teenage girl struggling to fit in at high school. She also has to figure out her sexuality, deal with a difficult home life, and figure out what is going on with her new-found powers.

My only dislike is that the second season isn’t happening thanks to the pandemic.

Dash & Lily

It can be nerve-wracking to find out your beloved YA book series are being turned into shows. Will the creators of the shows get it right? Well, they do with Dash & Lily.

This comedy romance is everything we needed and wanted. We have these two teens who are complete opposites to one another, but they find a connection that we could only hope to find in life. While one is cynical, the other is optimistic, and they help each other to see the world in other ways, slowly falling in love with one another.

Sometimes, we don’t need excessive drama. We don’t always want romances dragged out. We want sweet tales, which is exactly what Dash & Lily offers, so it has to be one of the best teen Netflix shows from 2020.

Now we’re just waiting for the renewal. It’s only been a month though, so we’re not too worried.
