Brian Baumgartner of The Office is raking in the dough with his Cameo bookings

The loveable and bumbling character Kevin Malone from The Office was brilliantly portrayed by Brian Baumgartner for the duration of the series. It was often questioned whether his position was even necessary, but no one had the heart to fire him. Well, that is until his made-up number Keleven got him into serious trouble with new manager Dwight Schrute (Rainn Wilson).

Who would have thought that seven years after the series ended, Baumgartner would become Cameo famous?

The New York Times Sway podcast reported in an interview with Cameo’s co-founder and CEO Steven Galanis that Baumgartner made the most revenue on the platform.

He has made more than $1 million from the comfort of his home!

Baumgartner is a comedian, and Galanis stated comedians tend to do the best with their Cameos. He went on to share that Baumgartner has perfected his craft in the videos offering quality content, which makes him so popular.

You can receive your own Cameo for $195 on Baumgartner’s site and listen to some of the comical ones that have already been sent. It is obvious why he is so popular after listening to a few on the site.

Baumgartner also hosts An Oral History of The Office podcast on Spotify. People shared that an episode from August Baumgartner’s guest was Ellie Kemper, who played the timid and naive receptionist Erin Hammon. Baumgartner told Kemper he advocated for a relationship between Kevin and Erin. She commented that she actually loved that idea. It’s too bad we never got to see that relationship happen because I think it would have been precious.

Other guests have included other The Office castmates Steve Carell, John Krasinski, Jenna Fischer, Rainn Wilson and Angela Kinsey.

Congrats to Brian Baumgartner for his monumental earnings on Cameo this year.
