Did Calvin shoot Jack in Virgin River season 2?

When it’s all revealed, I think we’re all expecting that Calvin or his guys were the ones that were responsible for pulling the trigger and shooting Jack at the bar while he was cooking steaks for Mel.

I mean, it seems like Calvin would do this. He threatened Jack, and Jack continued to push for the authorities to shut down Calvin’s operation and illegal activities. Jack convinced Spencer to testify against Calvin, which Calvin found out about. Brady was supposed to kill Spencer, but he took him to the bus station instead and helped Spencer get in touch with the authorities.

Calvin will want payback on Jack eventually, but did he make it happen so quickly? I’m not so sure, and I’ll tell you why.

If this was a hit on Jack, it was the worst hit ever. You’d think a person that Calvin would hire or himself would finish the job. That’s a terrible thing to say, but I think the evidence will point to someone else, someone who maybe didn’t know what they were doing or didn’t actually want to kill Jack.

Calvin is the most likely suspect given everything that happened, but I’m not convinced that he actually did this.
