The Midnight Sky

For those who prefer dystopian futures and apocalyptic movies, you’ll want to check out the George Clooney movie The Midnight Sky. A lone scientist races across the Arctic in an attempt to connect with a crew of astronauts.

These astronauts are landing back on Earth in the middle of a mysterious catastrophe across the globe. Everyone needs to figure out exactly what’s happened and how to fix things.

The Midnight Sky is available on Dec. 23.

Ava

For those who adore assassin movies with twists, Ava is one worth checking out. Jessica Chastain stars as the lead assassin who questions an order and breaks protocol. That leads to her ending up with a target on her back by her own black ops organization.

She has nowhere to turn and can’t trust anyone. How is she going to get out of this one alive?

Canvas

How about a movie full of heart but also heartbreak? Canvas is about an elderly man who is grieving a loss. As he spirals into despair and loss of hope, he turns away from his passions of the past.

Last but certainly by no means least, it’s all about the Ryan Murphy movie on Netflix. The Prom is one of the most highly-anticipated movies of the entire year.

A high school girl wants to bring her girlfriend to the prom. The problem for her is that she lives in a small conservative Indiana town. So, a group of self-obsessed theater stars head to that town to give her the boost in confidence she needs.
