Will Mel and Jack get together in Virgin River season 2?

Virgin River season 2 is coming to Netflix on Friday, Nov. 27, 2020. Netflix recently shared the release date for the new season.

The series is a huge hit on Netflix for fans of soapy, feel-good dramas.

Now, that we know Virgin River season 2 is coming to Netflix soon. It’s time to take a look at what happened for main character, Mel Monroe, played by Alexandra Breckenridge, and what’s to come in Virgin River season 2 for the character.

Let’s get things started with a brief recap about what happened to Mel in season 1 of the Netflix original before we look ahead to season 2 and beyond.

Where Virgin River season 1 ended for Mel

Mel ventured to Virgin River from Los Angeles to start over and move on from traumatic life incidents from her past, including the death of her baby and her husband.

Things didn’t start well for Mel. She wasn’t really wanted at Doc Mullins’ practice, but she really hit things off with Jack, played by Martin Henderson. They started to develop feelings for each other and even went on a date. It looked like Mel would get somewhat of a fairy tale romance in Virgin River.

Then, Charmaine, played by Lauren Hammersley, revealed that she was pregnant with Jack’s baby.

Obviously, Mel was hurt by the news, which was revealed in an awful way by Hope, played by Annette O’Toole. Mel wanted things to work with Jack, but seeing Jack and Charmaine have a child together clearly touched some part of Mel that might be too big to overcome. Things got complicated quickly for Mel and Jack.

At the end of the first season, Mel had officially called things off with Jack. The last time we see Mel, it appears that she is moving back to Los Angeles.

Will Mel actually move back to Virgin River? Will Mel stay to see if she can figure things out? Will Jack and Mel get together?
