Did you catch A Christmas Prince cameo in The Princess Switch 2?
The Princess Switch: Switched Again premiered on Netflix yesterday and fans are loving it. There’s even a third installment in the works! Starring Vanessa Hudgens, Sam Palladio, and Nick Sagar, the film is the sequel to the 2018 film The Princess Switch. Both films feature Hudgens in the dual role of Duchess Margaret Delacourt of Montenaro and Stacy DeNovo. The Princess Switch: Switched Again follows the characters as they prepare for Margaret’s coronation as the Queen of Montenaro.
Of course, there’s a ton of relationship drama. Stacy and Prince Edward (Palladio) are now married, but the stresses of royal life have taken a toll on their connection. Margaret, Olivia, and Kevin were ready to start a life together, a plan that went up in flames due to Margaret’s impending coronation. Believing that Margaret and Kevin are meant to be, Stacy convinces the Duchess that they should once again switch places. However, their plans are put in jeopardy when Margaret’s cousin Fiona, also played by Hudgens, decides that she wants the throne for herself.
After some hijinks, the movie concludes with Margaret’s coronation, and guess who was invited! None other than Queen Amber and King Richard of Aldovia, the main characters in A Christmas Prince and its sequels. The monarchs and their newborn daughter, Princess Elleri, can be seen in the crowd during the ceremony.
You can check out the clip here. I wonder if the countries of Aldovia, Montenaro, and Belgravia are neighbors in Netflix’s fictional version of Europe. Does this mean we’ll be getting a crossover movie one of these days?! I, for one, would like a trailer immediately.
