A CHARLIE BROWN THANKSGIVING - The ABC Television Network will kick off the holiday season with the classic half-hour animated PEANUTS special, ÒA Charlie Brown Thanksgiving,Ó Wednesday, NOV. 27 (8:00-9:00 p.m. EST), on ABC. In the 1973 special, ÒA Charlie Brown Thanksgiving,Ó created by late cartoonist Charles M. Schulz, Charlie Brown wants to do something special for the gang. However, the dinner he arranges is a disaster when the caterers, Snoopy and Woodstock, prepare toast and popcorn as the main dish. Humiliated, it will take all of MarcieÕs persuasive powers to salvage the holiday for Charlie Brown. A special bonus cartoon from Charles M. Schulz, ÒThis Is America, Charlie Brown: The Mayflower Voyagers,Ó will air with the Peanuts classic, in which history comes to animated screen life in a captivating and informative program about the Mayflower voyagers. The special will air with Spanish audio via SAP. In ÒThis Is America, Charlie Brown: The Mayflower Voyagers,Ó the year is 1620. After 65 grueling, sea-tossed days, the Pilgrims are in view of AmericaÕs shores Ð and Charlie Brown and the Peanuts crew are with them as they experience firsthand the lifestyle of the early settlers and celebrate the first Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving is just around the corner! And by “around the corner,” I mean that it’s literally next week. So close!

This year, there’s a lot to consider when it comes to what everyone is doing for Thanksgiving. Whether you’re safely traveling, seeing loved ones, or still keeping a vast social distance from everyone you know, it’s hard to go wrong with a holiday binge session.

And I, for one, am thankful for my locked and loaded holiday watch list this year. No matter what you’ll be feasting on, a holiday special should definitely be on the menu.

With that said, there aren’t a ton of Thanksgiving-themed movies on Netflix. Come to think of it, there aren’t that many Thanksgiving movies out there in the first place (compared to all of the Christmas options, that is.)

But still, there is one festive flick many make sure to put on each Thanksgiving. And it’s definitely a classic.

If you haven’t seen A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving yet, we highly recommend it. The trick is finding this one first. It’s not quite as popular as A Charlie Brown Christmas, after all. Luckily, we’ve done some snooping around and found where to watch it.

What is A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving about?

Charlie Brown, with the help of his friends, is putting together a Thanksgiving feast. But as expected, not everything goes according to his plan. Movie Guide describes what happens next with:

"Snoopy decides to get a start on the cooking. When everyone arrives, Snoopy gives them something very different than the traditional Thanksgiving meal. Eventually, Linus has to remind everyone how Thanksgiving started and what the holiday really means."

Is A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving streaming on Netflix?

Unfortunately, it is not on Netflix. The classic holiday special was once on ABC, but it has left its original home as of this year and is available for streaming on Apple TV.
