4. Scream

Moving onto another slasher series, you need to watch Scream on Netflix. No, this isn’t about the movies, although they are good for Halloween 2020. We’re all about the MTV series.

This is one of those horror shows on Netflix that connects well to the movies but stands out on its own. It also brings some modern-day issues up, including cyberbullying and viral events online. When there’s a brutal murder in Lakewood, someone starts up a crime spree.

Just like the original movies, a group of friends become the targets for the Ghost Face killer. Who will survive?

3. Supernatural

I mentioned Superstition pays homage to another show on this list. We’ve caught up to that show. There’s no way that you can look for horror shows on Netflix and overlook the longest-running fantasy series in the States. There are 14 and a half seasons to get through (the rest of season 15 will drop at the end of the year).

Some episodes of Supernatural are scarier than others. I find the first few seasons have the scariest episodes, with “The Benders,” “Provenance,” “Asylum,” and “Family Remains” standing out the most. If you like horror-comedy, you’ve got that too with the likes of “Yellow Fever” and “Monster Movie.”
