The final episodes of Supernatural season 15 will be on Netflix in November

The CW has set the date for the Supernatural series finale. It means we know when the final episodes will head to Netflix.

After 15 beautiful years, we’re saying goodbye to the Winchesters. The final season returns to The CW after an unexpected Hellatus on Oct. 9, with the series finale airing on Thursday, Nov. 19.

The finale will air at the special time of 9/8c. There will be a retrospective special looking back at the 15 years beginning at 8/7c, according to TVLine. It only seems fitting since The Vampire Diaries and Arrow got that treatment and Supernatural is the oldest show on the network.

Some of Supernatural season 15 is already on Netflix

Netflix surprised many of us 10 weeks ago. The first 13 episodes of the season joined Netflix, despite the full season not airing yet. Usually, the season would be added eight days after the finale date.

Of course, this year has been anything but usual. The pandemic meant the show couldn’t film the last two episodes. Post-production was still needed on five other episodes. It made sense to wrap things up with episode 13 and then delay the final episodes to offer one long part. With that in mind, The CW and Netflix came to an agreement to put the first 13 episodes on Netflix earlier than expected.

When will the Supernatural series finale be on Netflix?

So, now eyes are on when the final seven episodes will be available to stream. With the series finale airing on Nov. 19, we’re looking at Friday, Nov. 27, 2020.

This is eight days after the series finale airs.

The retrospective special likely won’t be available on Netflix.

What’s going to be interesting is seeing how long Netflix will keep the show. Supernatural entered a legacy deal after The CW and Netflix didn’t renew its streaming contract. Shows from the 2019-2020 season no longer automatically go to Netflix. Eventually, The CW shows will start to leave Netflix for other streaming services.

Supernatural will likely head to HBO Max at some point in the future since SPN is a Warner Bros. show. That probably won’t be for a few years though. You’ve got some time to binge-watch all 15 seasons in full as of Nov. 27.
