Ethan Hawke wants to guest star on Stranger Things

Played by actress Maya Hawke, Robin quickly became a fan favorite character on Stranger Things when she was introduced in the third season. Robin was essential to helping Dustin (Gaten Matarazzo) and Steve (Joe Keery) crack the secret Russian code and without her, they never would have been able to infiltrate the secret base under the Starcourt Mall.

For those of you who don’t know, Maya Hawke has some pretty famous parents. The actress is the daughter of actors Ethan Hawke and Uma Thurman.

Ethan Hawke is known for films like Explorers, Dead Poets Society, Training Day, Boyhood, Reality Bites, and the Before trilogy. Uma Thurman is also known for her work in film, including movies like Dangerous Liaisons, Pulp Fiction, Henry & June, Les Misérables, The Producers, and My Super Ex-Girlfriend. She also played the leading role in Kill Bill: Volume 1 and its sequel, Kill Bill: Volume 2.

Ethan Hawke recently did an interview where he spoke about his role in the Showtime series The Good Lord Bird. When the interviewer asked the actor about his daughter’s role in Stranger Things, Hawke couldn’t have been more enthusiastic about Maya’s career.

Here is what Ethan Hawke told Collider when asked if he would be willing to appear alongside his daughter on Stranger Things:

"Oh, heck, yeah! Wouldn’t that be great? Maya should have to meet her father. They could come up with some crazy character for me to play. That is so my wheelhouse. I was those kids’ age when that show is set. It’s so funny for me that Maya is playing a character like that. I went to those malls. I worked at an ice cream shop in 1988, or whenever it’s set."

If Ethan Hawke was to appear on the show, I wonder who he would play. There are plenty of loose ends in Stranger Things that need to be tied up, so Hawke could have a hand in a variety of storylines. With any luck, we’ll be seeing him on Stranger Things sometime in the future!
