When is the release date for Lucifer season 5 part 2?

Lucifer season 5 part 2 is coming to Netflix in 2021. I know many Lucifer fans were hoping to see the second half the season 5 on Netflix in November or December.

Unfortunately, that’s not going to happen. Showrunner Joe Henderson confirmed on Twitter that fans will have to wait until next year to see the final episodes of season 5. That shouldn’t be all that surprising.

The cast and crew had almost finished filming Lucifer season 5 in March, but production was shut down because of the coronavirus pandemic. The cast and crew finally finished filming the rest of season 5 this fall, and they’ve now started filming season 6.

Hopefully, we see Lucifer season 5 part 2 on Netflix in early 2021 or as late as spring. I don’t think Netflix will make us wait much longer than that.

Lucifer season 6 is also expected to be released on Netflix in 2021, but because production just started and there’s so much uncertainty surrounding production right now, we’re not sure if that will actually happen. Hopefully, production isn’t delayed any longer and they’ll be able to film the final season in a good amount of time.

Even if season 6 finishes production with even time to get the sixth season ready to be released, I’d say there’s a good chance that Netflix holds the final episodes until 2022, especially if
