Where is Coraline available to stream for Halloween 2020?

There are a few movies every year that families will want to watch for Halloween. Coraline is one of them, but where can you stream it this year? Is Coraline on Netflix?

There’s some bad news. Coraline is not currently available to stream on Netflix. That means you’re looking for another place to watch it. Which streaming service do you need?

Coraline is available to stream on STARZ

Right now, you can watch the Henry Selick movie on STARZ, available directly or through Amazon Channels and Hulu Channels. This is a premium cable network that brings a lot of old-school movies. You’ll also be able to watch the top originals on the service, including Outlander, The Spanish Princess, Power, and much more.

If you don’t want to get STARZ, you can always buy the movie digitally or on DVD. For those who buy or rent the digital versions, you can get it from Amazon Video, Google Play, iTunes, and all your favorite digital platforms.

Why Coraline remains a family favorite

This is one of those movies that looks like it should be part of the Tim Burton collection. It certainly has a similar feel and style, but Henry Selick directed it. There is another great mind behind it though, and the styling will soon make sense. Neil Gaiman wrote the original novel the animated movie is based on.

The story follows a young girl, Coraline, who walks through a strange door in her home. She ends up in a world that looks like her own but has a sinister side to it. Now she needs to get back to her own world before its too late.

There’s no doubt it’s a family-favorite movie at Halloween. It brings the scares, but in a way that’s suitable for younger children. It focuses on inner-strength and courage, fighting for survival and family. There’s also the lesson that the grass isn’t always greener on the other side.
