When is Outlander season 6 coming to Netflix?

Based on the historical time travel book series by Diana Gabaldon, Outlander has been a hit ever since it premiered on Starz in 2014. The show follows a woman named Claire Randall (Caitriona Balfe) as she is hurled through history. One minute she is on vacation with her husband in 1945, and the next she is embroiled in the Jacobite risings in mid 18th century Scotland.

As she tries to navigate her harsh new world, Claire becomes enamored with a warrior named Jamie Fraser (Sam Heughan). The sixth season of Outlander is currently in production.

When will Outlander season 6 be released on Netflix?

If you love Outlander and can’t wait to see season 6 on Netflix, then you might want to hold your horses. There are currently five seasons of the series, with a sixth in production, but unfortunately only the first three seasons of Outlander are currently available on Netflix.

Fans should probably wait to see when seasons 4 and 5 come to the streaming platform before trying to guess when season 6 will be accessible.

The fifth season of Outlander concluded in May, so I think it’s safe to say that fans might have to wait a while before they get to binge season 6 on Netflix. Though season 4 finished airing in January of 2019, Inverse doesn’t suspect it to be released on Netflix until around December 2020.

By that logic, fans will have to wait perhaps about a year after season 6 is released until it is available on Netflix. The season 5 finale aired in May 2020, so it’s likely that the most recent season will be ready to stream next spring.

Like many other productions, the series was forced to stop filming due to the coronavirus pandemic. As reported by RadioTimes, Caitriona Balfe tweeted in April that the show’s writers were still working on season 6 despite the production setbacks.
