Even though it went off the air in 2013, it seems like people love The Office more now than ever before.

Once the beloved series came to Netflix, people who had never seen the show could binge-watch it, and then rewatch it at least 10 times after that. The NBC hit has gotten a whole new fanbase in the years since it ended.

If you think you’re a pro at everything there is to know about The Office, then think again, because you might not know this. Dwight Schrute actor Rainn Wilson recently revealed what other thespians vied for roles on the show while it was still in the casting stage of production, and the actors might surprise you.

As reported by BuzzFeed, Wilson recently appeared on The Late Late Show With James Corden and showed off an incredible memento from The Office. The object in question is a sign-in sheet from when Wilson first auditioned for the series all the way back in 2003!

That one piece of paper actually revealed a lot about the show, like the fact that Wilson auditioned for the roles of both Dwight and Michael. Wilson is the absolute perfect actor to play Dwight and I can’t imagine anyone who could replace him.

According to the sign-in sheet, Jenna Fischer, who portrayed Pam Beesly, auditioned on the same day as Wilson. However, there were plenty of other actors who weren’t lucky enough to be cast. For example, Adam Scott, who is known for his role as Ben Wyatt on Parks and Recreation, auditioned to play Jim Halpert, a role that ultimately went to John Krasinski.
