Fans were sad to say goodbye to the employees at Dunder Mifflin when The Office went off the air in 2013, but the show has had quite the revival in recent years.

Actresses Angela Kinsey and Jenna Fischer, who co-starred on the mockumentary comedy series as Angela Martin and Pam Beesly, respectively, began a podcast called Office Ladies in 2019 to celebrate The Office and its fans.

There’s also a new podcast called An Oral History of The Office. Hosted by Brian Baumgartner, who played Kevin Malone on The Office, the podcast offers listeners a chance to learn how the American version of the show came to be. From conception to casting, An Oral History of The Office offers longtime fans an in-depth view of how their favorite paper-pushers came to be.

Office Ladies features appearances from other actors that were on the show. John Krasinski, Mindy Kaling, Creed Bratton, and Rashida Jones have all been on the podcast to reminisce about their days in Scranton. As told by PopSugarAn Oral History of The Office has followed in suit, featuring interviews with Steve Carell, Rainn Wilson, Jenna Fischer, and Angela Kinsey, just to name a few.

According to People, Brian Baumgartner revealed on his podcast which two characters on The Office he always wanted to see together. While talking with Ellie Kemper, who played Erin Hannon, Baumgartner explained that he had actually pitched Erin and Kevin getting together.

Here’s what Baumgartner had to say about it:

"I went up to the writers’ room, and I said, ‘If Kevin could mature just a little, there was something about their energy that I thought was right.’ Their energies matched in a weird way."

Kemper expressed interest in the pitch, saying that Erin pairing with Kevin may have been a better move than dating Andy Bernard. However, the romance was never meant to be. Baumgartner continued:

"Sadly, we never got to witness the great love story that Kevin and Erin could have been."
