Netflix’s Red Notice starring Ryan Reynolds has resumed filming

Red Notice starring Ryan Reynolds, Dwayne Johnson and Gal Gadot resumed production recently. Netflix shut down filming about six months ago because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

According to a report from Deadline, Reynolds confirmed production had restarted by sharing photos of himself getting tested for COVID-19 on set. Gadot also shared images on Instagram of herself getting tested for the virus, as well.

Red Notice is an action-comedy thriller from Netflix. A red notice is a global alert issued by INTERPOL to hunt down and capture a thief on the “most wanted” list. The film follows said thief as they try to evade capture around the globe.

Rawson Marshall Thurber is directing the upcoming Netflix movie.

Red Notice is the second film Reynolds has starred in for Netflix. 6 Underground, which was a great action flick in which six individuals with a specific skillset band together to take down a brutal dictator, was the first.

Netflix has not announced the Red Notice release date yet. At the time of publishing, the movie could be released in late 2021. That’s if all goes well with production in the coming weeks.

Hiram Garcia, co-producer and close friend of Johnson, told Variety that Johnson is also back to filming Red Notice after his families bought with the coronavirus.

With so many big Netflix projects on the horizon, it is encouraging to see filming is slowing resuming. It is wonderful to see that things are being done safely to ensure the health and well being of the cast and crew members.

Sadly, Gadot’s new movie, Wonder Woman 1984, has been postponed again and the release has been pushed back until Christmas day.
