Halloween season is officially upon us, and it is time to get that watch list ready. Netflix just shared the list of new Halloween movies and shows. That list included Hubie Halloween, a new Netflix movie starring Adam Sandler, which is set to be released on Netflix on Wednesday, Oct. 7.

Sandler plays Hubie Dubois, a local of Salem, Massachusetts, who each year makes sure that his town celebrates Halloween safely.

In Hubie Halloween, Hubie is often tormented by the town’s residents, but that doesn’t stop him from being what he thinks is a good citizen. This year, he gets an unexpected surprise when he finds himself it the middle of a real murder mystery.

The trailer shows us a town that really gets into the Halloween spirit. The decorations are over the top, as are the costumes. Hubie seems to be very involved in the community, much to the chagrin of the local police department and its citizens. They mock and torment him any chance they can get. But, he perseveres and doesn’t allow them to damped his Halloween spirit.

This year, Hubie is in for a surprise when he finds himself in the middle of something bigger than he imagined. And since he is continually coming up with non-essential things to bring to the attention of the police department, this time they won’t listen when the situation really warrants police involvement. Will Hubie save Halloween?

Sandler is joined by an all-star cast, including an unrecognizable Kevin James with his 80s mullet and beard. Additional cast members include Maya Rudolph, Ray Liotta, Steve Buscemi, Noah Schnapp.,Rob Schneider, Julie Bowen, Michael Chiklis, Kenan Thompson, China Anne McClain, Paris Berelc, Tim Meadows, Colin Quinn, June Squibb, Shaquille O’Neal, and Karan Brar.

With a PG-13 rating, it is a film that can ben enjoyed by teens and adults alike.
