Netflix shows like The Office: Space Force

Space Force premiered on Netflix in May 2020, and it was one of the most-watched shows of the year at that point.

The series was created by Greg Daniels, the creator of The Office, and Steve Carell, star of The Office.

In the series, General Mark Naird (Carell) is appointed to lead the sixth branch of the US Military, the Space Force. Naird, who knows nothing about space, teams up with scientist, Dr. Adrian Mallory (John Malkovich) and his team of scientists to put “boots on the moon” and basically militarize the final frontier.

The show has a great ensemble cast, including Carell, Malkovich, Tawny Newsome, Diana Silvers, Lisa Kudrow, Ben Schwartz, Jimmy O. Yang, Roy Wood, Jr., Noah Emmerich, Don Lake, Alex Sparrow, Jane Lynch, and more.

Overall, Space Force was a little bit of a disappointment to some fans. I really enjoyed the series, especially after I realized how different of a show this would actually be. It’s not exactly the military workplace comedy that I thought it was going to be, but it’s something different and something that could be really good as it goes on!

I can’t wait to see where the story goes in season 2!

Space Force has not officially been renewed for season 2 at Netflix. We’re expecting to see that renewal any day now.
