Lucifer season 5, episode 7 recap: “Our Mojo”

The second to last episode of Lucifer season 5, part 1 set the keys in motion for what is sure to be an incredible part 1 finale! Here are the top takeaways!

Did any of us truly believe Michael was gone from the picture? Not at all! Archangel Michael is back and he’s returned with a new plan. Will this one work? Only one way to find out!

Not everything is actin-packed, though, we also learn that Ella continues to be the absolute best! We’ll chat about why soon. And who would have ever thought Lucifer’s mojo would cause so many problems?

Let’s recap episode 7, titled “Our Mojo,” by highlighting the top five giveaways! Which moment was your favorite?

5 takeaways from Lucifer season 5, part 1: Episode  7

Ella is a Deckerstar stan

Are we truly surprised Ella is a Deckerstar stan? She’s so amazing! When Ella asks Chloe if she and Lucifer finally had sex, Chloe tells her yes and Ella couldn’t be happier! She tells Chloe that she was ready to have her “Deckerstar dreams crushed again,” you and me both, Ella.

What’s your mojo?

The morning after their special night, Chloe wakes up with the ability to get people to confess their darkest desires! Sound familiar? She’s accidentally stolen Lucifer’s mojo!

Lucifer is freaking out, naturally. His mojo was his thing, but Chloe is loving it. Later, they learn it only works on Lucifer, though. Still, it’s odd that this happened so they try to figure out what’s going on.

Maze wants a soul

Out of all the characters in the series, Amenadiel is the best one to talk to. Hands down. Amenadiel gives the best advice ever! He sits down with Maze and gives her some words of encouragement.

Amenadiel tells Maze that, just because a demon has never had a soul, doesn’t mean it’s impossible. Just like the Devil fell in love with a human and an angel had a baby with a human. Anything is possible. This gives Maze hope and she feels a bit better.

Michael’s plan

Poor Dan! The bad news just keeps on coming for him. After learning the truth about Lucifer, he visits Charlotte’s grave. He cries about how much he misses her and begs for help and a sign.

Michael appears in angel form (what a trickster) and presents himself as the Archangel Michael, Lucifer’s twin brother. He tells Dan that there’s only one way to protect his loved ones. We soon find out what his plan is.

Dan shoots Lucifer

Believing that Lucifer is truly evil, Dan shows up unexpectedly at Lucifer’s home and shoots him right in the chest. Chloe runs to Lucifer’s side fearing the worst!

Part of me wants to be mad at Dan, but then again, can we really blame the guy? For starters, Dan and Lucifer have never truly gotten along. They’ve had a few moments, sure, but no real friendship other than that.

In fact, I’d say Dan and Amenadiel are better friends. Also, realizing that Lucifer is the actual Devil would be shocking to anyone. As you all remember, Chloe didn’t have the best reaction, either. Only one more episode to go, and then the wait for part 2 beings!
