Best Deckerstar moments in Lucifer season 3 & 4

5. Season 3, Episode 6 – Lucifer’s birthday gift to Chloe

This is one of my favorite Lucifer and Chloe scenes. Lucifer realizes he’s been bluffing a bit and reiterates that he doesn’t lie, especially to Chloe. Even though he missed her birthday celebrations, he still has a present at the ready for the detective. It’s the bullet from when Chloe shot Lucifer in the leg in season 1. It’s such a sweet gift and a callback to the moment Lucifer bleeds for the first time. Lucifer makes one of his usual jokes and they hug, showing how meaningful the gift is to Chloe. For those with hawk eyes, did you notice Chloe wearing the necklace in the season 5 trailer?

6. Season 3, Episode 21 – I want her to choose me

I think we were all yelling out in frustration during this whole episode. Lucifer was trying to prove he can do anything better than Pierce instead of just telling Chloe how he really feels. While Lucifer is the one to ask everyone what they desire, for probably the first time someone asks him that question. Lucifer tells Linda, “I want her to choose me.” Can Tom Ellis get all the awards already? The way he emotes Lucifer’s feelings through his facial expressions is so well done.

7. Season 3, Episode 23 – Second kiss

What a powerful scene. Lucifer realizes throughout the episode that Chloe can actually handle cases on her own and doesn’t necessarily need Lucifer’s help to solve them. But she chooses to work with him. They’re true partners. Then Lucifer admits he was afraid to tell Chloe how he feels about her because she only knows certain sides of him since she doesn’t really know he’s the devil. And I think this is only the second time he calls her “Chloe.” Chloe assures him she doesn’t see him that way and they share their second kiss.

8. Season 4, Episode 2 – Why Lucifer is vulnerable & Lucifer protects Chloe

I know this moment is a bit angsty with Chloe’s outburst, but it’s an important one. Chloe learns that Lucifer only gets hurt sometimes because of her. She’s the reason he’s vulnerable. Then as the suspect in their case throws an axe at her, Lucifer jumps in front of it. I mean it wasn’t surprising to us, but Chloe realizes that he could’ve gotten hurt but protected her anyway. Then she sees that he bleeds and is reminded of the Lucifer she knows. This leads her to stop the arrangement between her and Father Kinley.

9. Season 4, Episode 9 – Chloe helps Lucifer forgive himself

Lucifer comes to the realization that he hates himself and tries to come to terms with it. Eventually, it’s not just his devil face that’s there. His whole body and even his wings have transformed into that same skin. This is one of Lucifer’s lowest points and Chloe is there to support him. She doesn’t run away. As she tells him, it’s not about her, it’s about Lucifer forgiving himself. He’s able to take that first step thanks to Chloe’s support.

10. Season 4, Episode 10 – Chloe and Lucifer’s bittersweet goodbye

You all probably knew I was going to end the list with this scene. How could I not? This might be my favorite Lucifer and Chloe scene. Even though it’s bittersweet as they say goodbye, we’ve finally reached a pivotal point in their love story. Chloe knows the truth about Lucifer. She’s fully accepted who he is and they both confess their love for each other. We literally waited four seasons for all this to happen and it did in one exceptionally emotional moment.

I’m so excited to see what’s in store for us Deckerstar fans in season 5! I’m sure there will be many new favorites.
