Best Deckerstar moments in Lucifer season 1 and 2

1. Season 1, Episode 13 – Lucifer asks his dad for a favor

In the last episode of season 1, Malcolm shoots Lucifer. Because Chloe is close, he’s bleeding out. Even though Lucifer is weakened and about to die, it’s not himself that he’s thinking about. He tries speaking to his dad and promises he’ll be the son he’s always wanted. In return, all he asks is to save Chloe’s life. This was such an important moment because even though they hadn’t known each other very long at this point, this scene showed us just how much Lucifer already cares about Chloe.

2. Season 2, Episode 10 – Chloe doesn’t betray Lucifer

During the trial for John Decker’s murder, Lucifer’s mom tries to get Chloe to call Lucifer a liar. In exchange she will get her client, Perry Smith, to admit he killed Chloe’s father. This scene was so important because Chloe doesn’t go through with it even though she knows it’s going to jeopardize the trial. And by this point, we know how much Chloe loves her dad and his death is the reason she became a cop. Despite this, she doesn’t betray Lucifer’s trust and we see just how far these partners have come.

3. Season 2, Episode 11 & 12 – First kiss & “this is real, isn’t it?”

At the end of episode 11, Lucifer tells Chloe she deserves someone better than him and goes on to list some of her best qualities. His heartfelt speech leads to Chloe and Lucifer’s first kiss! While the kiss was unfortunately short, what makes this one of the best scenes in my opinion is everything Lucifer says. He cares about her so much that he’s willing to “let her go” in a way. It made all of our hearts melt and certainly did the same for Chloe!

In the following episode, Lucifer and Chloe try to navigate and understand their new relationship. The scene toward the end of the episode with Chloe worried and running toward him to make sure he’s ok, Lucifer realizing what they have is real and the forehead touch was just too much for my shipper heart to handle.

4. Season 2, Episode 13 – Lucifer dies to get the antidote

Now wasn’t this episode just a roller coaster? The midseason finale of season 2 is one of my favorite episodes. Chloe is poisoned by Professor Carlisle, who is now dead, and only he knows the ingredients for the antidote. Since neither Lucifer nor Amenediel have their wings, the only solution to get the antidote from the Professor in Hell is for Linda and Maze to stop Lucifer’s heart long enough for him to go down and get it. Even though his friends were telling him it’s a crazy idea, it doesn’t matter to him. He’s determined to save Chloe’s life.
