While most people might recognize Tom Hopper as Dickon Tarly from HBO’s Game of Thrones, he currently stars as Luther Hargreeves on The Umbrella Academy. Over the course of two seasons, Hopper’s performance as Luther, also known as Number One or Spaceboy, has been vulnerable, captivating, and heartfelt.

When all his siblings left the Academy, Luther dedicated all of this time and energy to continue their mission. When a mission goes south, Reginald Hargreeves (Colm Feore) makes the executive decision to save Luther’s life with an experimental vaccine, causing Luther’s upper body to become that of an ape. Despite the far-fetched situation, Tom Hopper’s performance always leaves me smiling.

Tom Hopper married actress Laura Higgins in 2014 and the pair have two children together. They have a son named Freddie and a daughter named Truly. Laura and Tom co-starred alongside each other in Black Sails. Laura Higgins has had recurring roles in television shows such as Hollyoaks and Doctors.
