Lucifer season 5 premieres on Netflix in one week

Lucifer season 5, part 1 is coming to Netflix on Aug. 21, and we’ve got a quick refresher for you to read through before the big day so you’re all caught up.

Many fans have been counting down the weeks and days before the premiere of Lucifer season 5. Some of us have even been binge-watching our favorite episodes of the series. These are strange times, though, so we completely understand if you weren’t able to sit down to watch previous episodes in time for season 5. That’s what we’re here for!

So whether you need a refresher because you’re blurry on the details, want to be absolutely prepared for season 5, or just for fun and to support the show, we’ve got your back!

Which characters are now in Heaven, Hell, or Hell on Earth aka Los Angeles? Who is still in a relationship? Did Charlie ever grow wings? We have all the answers. Oh, and having seen the season already, we may drop a few teasers, too!

What happened to Lucifer Morningstar in Lucifer season 4?

In season 4, episode 10, “Who’s da New King of Hell?,” Lucifer Morningstar returned to Hell to rule over all the souls and demons. This was the only way to keep everyone safe, as Lucifer figured demons and evil spirits would continue visiting Earth to get Charlie or hurt Chloe.

When season 5 begins, he’s still in Hell, but missing Earth and everything about it, especially Chloe.

What happened to Chloe Decker in Lucifer season 4?

Chloe’s last words to Lucifer were that she loves him. He tells Chloe that it has always been her, but doesn’t necessarily repeat her words.

In season 5, Chloe is focused on work, her daughter, Trixie, and enjoying some good times with her new BFF, Maze.

What happened to Maze in Lucifer season 4?

Like Chloe, Mazikeen is missing Luci and feels betrayed by him leaving so suddenly. Unlike Chloe, Mazikeen didn’t even get a goodbye. Despite Chloe and Mazikeen having different feelings for Lucifer, they’re just as frustrated and angry. This is why they make great BFFs this season.

There’s more than Luci’s return to Hell that’s depressing Maze this season, though. She has to be feeling pretty down about Eve. Just when Maze was bonding with Eve, the latter packs up and leaves.

What happened to Amenadiel and Dr. Linda in Lucifer season 4?

The happy parents of Charlie were sad about Luci leaving, but they are happy to have their baby back and safe. Are Amenadiel and Linda together or just co-parenting? Season 4 leaves us a bit confused about that. Let’s hope we get some clarity in season 5.

This covers all the main characters, but what about the others?

Dan and Ella had a short fling, but they both decided they’re not a match and were in it for the wrong reasons. One of these reasons is Charlotte’s death, which Dan is still bitter and sad about in season 5.

Another thing to note is that, despite Lucifer’s blunt honesty, Dan and Ella still don’t know Lucifer is actually the devil. Will they ever believe him? We’ll soon see!

Which character are you the most excited to catch up with when season 5 premieres? The new season drops on Netflix on Aug. 21.

Remember, these are the first eight episodes of the season. The second half of the season is coming in 2021, most likely.

Next. Lucifer and 5 good Netflix shows to watch in August 2020. dark
