2. All the new places in Stranger Things season 4

When Stranger Things was officially renewed for season 4, the teaser trailer included the tag line, “We’re not in Hawkins anymore.”

Obviously, we know this world is opening up and we’ll get to see many of our heroes outside of Hawkins for the first time. So far, we’ve only seen these characters leave Hawkins a few times. Eleven went to find her sister, Kali. Joyce and Hopper went to find Murray, just like Jonathan and Nancy did in season 2.

Now, we should see many more locations in Stranger Things season 4.

Hopper is in Russia, likely in the middle of nowhere. We’re definitely going to see his story play out over there. They already finished filming a bunch of scenes for Hopper’s story in Lithuania.

We’re also going to get to see where the Byers move to in the new season. I don’t think this will be a one or two episode thing either. I’m guessing the primary story will likely be set where ever it is that the Byers end up. I don’t think the whole “We’re not in Hawkins anymore” thing would be such a big focal point only to leave that place in the first few episodes.

We’ve speculated a lot about where that could be. Kansas, maybe?

Eventually, the group should return to Hawkins. I hope they do in season 4, but I think it’s possible that we see the group get into some trouble in another part of the country (or world).
