Netflix has given fans a first look at what’s to come in Lucifer season 5 in the form of images! The very highly anticipated season premieres on the streaming titan on Aug. 21 and we are counting down the days! Needless to say, it’s the series we are most excited to watch in August.

The trailer for Lucifer season 5 gave us so much to look forward to. With how the series has been to hell and back, no really, we weren’t sure what to expect. Assuming Lucifer season 5 was going to be the final season, we were expecting the final story.

What a surprise when Netflix announced the series was getting a sixth season! Still, we wondered what that meant for what was already done for season 5. The trailer settled our worries, leave it up to the brilliant writers to keep it going!

From the trailer, we learned that the first set of episodes will follow “Lucifer’s” return to Earth. Except, he isn’t really Lucifer, but his twin brother Michael, say what? We can’t wait to learn more! Surely Lucifer won’t allow Michael to get away with this!

Lucifer season 5, episode 1: “Really Sad Devil Guy”

After Lucifer left, Chloe seems to be hanging out with Maze a lot, from what the trailer shows, but we doubt she’s not also completely into her work.

If we had to guess, they are after somebody and currently undercover. They look amazing, regardless! We love that Chloe and Maze have remained close. Lucifer was important to both of them, so it makes sense they are relying on each other.
