Ratched is officially the most-watch new Netflix show of 2020. The series starring Sarah Paulson has been watched by nearly 50 million subscribers in its first month, which is the most this year for a new Netflix show. We don’t know how that stacks up against returning shows, but it has to be there among Netflix’s best.

The series from Ryan Murphy tells the origin story of Nurse Ratched, played by Paulson, from One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest.

The series is coming back for season 2 on Netflix! We’ll let you know when the new season will be released.

Ratched season 2 will likely be released on Netflix in 2022. We haven’t heard anything about Ratched season 2 on Netflix, and that’s not good. If the show is going to be released in 2021, the cast and crew will have to start filming season 2 soon. It takes about one year from the start of production until a show like Ratched is ready to be released on Netflix, and the pandemic is making filming even more complicated.

In other words, it’s going to be a while until Ratched season 2 is released unless Ryan Murphy and Netflix have a few tricks up their sleeve.
