Netflix adds 26 new movies and shows this week

The arrival of a new week not only means wondering what fresh chaos the universe will throw at us, but it also means Netflix is adding a bunch of new movies and shows. This week you should be on the lookout for an ESPN sports docu-series, a new season of a CW show, and the sequel to an incredibly popular Netflix rom-com. No matter your taste, there’s something for you.

On Sunday, July 19, The Last Dance hits Netflix. The documentary series, which first aired on ESPN, follows the rise of the 1990’s Chicago Bulls led by the one and only Micheal Jordan. In the fall of 1997, a film crew was allowed to follow the team and that’s how all the footage in the docu-series was captured.

The limited series features interviews with the players, including Jordan, Scottie Pippen, Steve Kerr, John Paxson, and B.J Armstrong as well as their coach, Phil Jackson.

More in the mood for a drama series? Season 2 of In the Dark is coming to Netflix on Friday, July 24. The CW series stars Perry Mattfield, Rich Sommer, Brooke Markham, and Morgan Krantz and follows a young blind woman as she tries to solve her friend’s murder. While out for a walk, she stumbles on what she believes is the body of her friend, but when the cops show up, there is no body which leads her to investigate.

Or maybe you’re looking for a new rom-com to escape into? You’re in luck because The Kissing Booth 2 is finally coming to the streaming service on Friday, July 24. Elle and Noah are now in a long-distance relationship and she has to balance that, applying to colleges, and a new (handsome) classmate who could change everything. But Elle isn’t the only one meeting new people who could throw a wrench in their relationship, Noah is as well.

You can also check out Love on the Spectrum, a new dating show featuring autistic people looking for love, and Norsemen, a comedy series about what life was like for Vikings in the 8th century. Both come out on Wednesday, July 22.
