Peacock TV is the newest streaming platform from NBCUniversal. The platform will not only offer excellent viewing from NBC’s catalog from the past and present but also content from Bravo, the E! network, Telemundo, NBC News, NBC Sports, and USA Network.

Many people are probably wondering if another streaming service is what they need, but there are a lot of fun offers on Peacock! You can have some nostalgia with great series from NBC past such as Punky Brewster, Cheers, The Greatest American Hero, and Leave it to Beaver.

As far as TV dramas, the choices are vast, including Law and Order, Suits, House, and Monk. Comedy favorites like The Carol Burnett Show, Will and Grace, and all 44 seasons of Saturday Night Live are also available to stream.

Along with the great NBC content, you would expect there are some fun surprise shows for your viewing pleasure on Peacock!

Good TV shows on Peacock: 5. Downton Abbey

One of the shows that may surprise you with its inclusion on Peacock is Downton Abbey.  This historical drama was initially aired on Masterpiece on PBS from 2010-2015.

Downton Abbey is the story of the aristocratic Crawley family and their domestic servants who live in the fictional country estate in Yorkshire county. The series follows the family from 1912-1926 and their lives during historical events such as the sinking of the Titanic, the first World War, the Spanish Flu pandemic, and other events during that period.

Downton fans will have a real treat being able to binge-watch again and again. This will also give others the chance to see what made this series so enjoyable to watch.

Good TV shows on Peacock: 4. Parks and Rec

Another great show that is also available now on Peacock, while still streaming on Netflix is the series Parks and Recreation. This series originally aired on NBC’s “Comedy Done Right” programming from 2009-2015. As with a lot of series, the first season received mixed reviews, but after that, it became another series that fans can’t get enough of.

Parks and Rec follows the quirky Leslie Knope (Amy Poehler), who works in the Parks and Rec department in the fictional town of Pawnee, Indiana. The series is hilarious, and anyone who has ever had dealings with or who has worked in City government can relate to a lot that goes on in the series.

The supporting cast is stellar and includes the talents of Nick Offerman, Rashida Jones, Aziz Ansari, Aubrey Plaza, Chris Pratt, Adam Scott, Rob Lowe, Paul Schneider, Jim O’Heir, and Donna Meagle.

This is a binge-worthy series that can quickly become your go-to series to watch over and over again.
