TV shows on Peacock - Yellowstone
Kevin Costner stars as John Dutton in Yellowstone. Paramount Network’s original drama series Yellowstone returns for a second season starting Wednesday, June 19 at 10 p.m., ET/PT. /

Good TV shows on Peacock: 3. Yellowstone

An American drama that is from the Paramount Network, Yellowstone, is another surprise addition to Peacock’s available choices. Yellowstone was recently renewed for its fourth season and initially aired in 2018.

Starring Kevin Costner as John Dutton, a sixth-generation cattle farmer. The Dutton family owns the largest contiguous ranch in the United States. The series gives the viewer a look at life in the ranching business and all of the pitfalls it can come in contact with, including border conflicts that arise from land developers, the Indian Reservation, and with the US Government and the national park that borders the ranch.

Costner is joined by castmates Luke Grimes, Kelly Reilly, Wes Bentley, Gil Birmingham, and Cole Hauser. Guest cast members include Jill Hennessy, Jeremiah Bitsui, James Pickens Jr., and Dabney  Coleman.

Yellowstone has been the cable’s most-watched summer show for the third year in a row so, if you haven’t checked it out now, is the time to do so!

Good TV shows on Peacock: 2. Two and a Half Men

Originally airing on CBS, Two and a Half Men is another series featured on Peacock. Again, a surprise addition considering CBS is competition with NBC and Warner Bros. TV, which has ties to HBO Max, produces and distributes the series.

Starring Charlie Sheen, Jon Cryer, and Angus T. Young, this series is about a Malibu bachelor and jingle writer, Charlie Harper (Sheen). His recently divorced brother Alan (Cryer), and his troublemaking son Alan (Young), move in with him, altering his life dramatically.

Later on in the series, Sheen would exit the show, and Ashton Kutcher would join the cast as a billionaire who purchases Charlie’s home.

The show ran for 12 seasons and developed quite the following. When Sheen exited viewership did go down, but overall, the series continued to do well, which is hard to do when a main character exits.

Be sure to check out Two and a Half Men on Peacock.

Good TV shows on Peacock: 1. Ray Donovan

Initially, Ray Donovan was created for Showtime, but now it will also be available on Peacock. A deal with ViacomCBS will allow Peacock to stream Ray Donovan and some of the other Showtime shows.

Liev Schreiber stars as Ray Donovan, who is a ‘fixer’ for high profile individuals who need their problems to just go away. Donovan grew up as a thug in South Boston, and although he moved to Los Angeles and is miles away from his past, that doesn’t stop the past from sneaking back into his life.

The pilot for Ray Donovan broke viewership records for Showtime and had the biggest premiere Showtime has ever seen. When the show was canceled after seven seasons, fans were outraged, and a week later, Schreiber announced on social media that due to the fan’s reactions, Ray Donovan would continue.

It sounds like this is a show you must watch if you haven’t already.
