Canceled Netflix shows: Daybreak

Daybreak tells the story of nuclear fallout in Glendale, California. Somehow, after the bombs hit, only teenagers survived. Now, they have split off into different factions at war with each other.

For this tale, we meet up with Josh, played by Colin Ford, who is trying to find his girlfriend, Sam, played by Sophie Simnett, during the apocalypse.

Alyvia Alyn Lind, Austin Crute, Cody Kearsley, Jeanté Godlock, Gregory Kasyan, Krysta Rodriguez, and Matthew Broderick star alongside Ford and Simnett in the series.

The series premiered on Netflix in October 2019, and it was canceled a few short months later after one season. We didn’t get nearly enough!

Aron Eli Coleite and Brad Peyton developed the series, which is based on the comic series by Brian Ralph.

Daybreak is one of my favorite Netflix shows yet. It’s just so much fun! I can’t believe viewers didn’t turn out for this teen show. It’s funny, scary, dramatic, and gory in one fell swoop, and somehow, it also doubles as a feel-good series.

I don’t know how the creative team did it, but this show is nearly perfect! Unfortunately, there is only one season on Netflix.

Canceled Netflix shows: One Day at a Time

One Day at a Time is one of the best Netflix shows yet! Unfortunately, it was canceled on Netflix after three seasons.

The series is based on the classic sitcom of the same name created by Norman Lear. Gloria Calderón Kellett and Mike Royce developed the series, which stars Justina Machado, Todd Grinnell, Isabella Gomez, Marcel Ruiz, Stephen Tobolowsky, and Rita Moreno.

It tells the story of trials and tribulations of the Alvarez family.

Fortunately, One Day at a Time was saved and renewed for season 4 at Pop TV! I’m so happy this show had a chance to shine again on a different network.

Clearly, Netflix made a big mistake canceling this show too early.
