Disappointing Netflix shows: Space Force

I want to preface this with a short disclaimer: I actually liked Space Force! I don’t think it was all that disappointing. Sure, it had some flaws, as many comedies do, but I think there are some very redeeming qualities, and it looks like there’s a foundation to build on.

Space Force joins the list because the overall reaction to it, at least at first, was pretty negative. There were some pretty scathing reviews from critics, and generally, many fans seemed disappointed in the new Netflix series.

I understand most of the criticism, but if you were expecting the show to be some combination of The Office and Veep, well, those expectations were probably a little bit too high.

I’m interested to see what happens in Space Force season 2. The cast is incredible, and I’d like to see those characters get to interact more and more. Will General Naird loosen up a little bit? I think we saw that happening as the season went on, and that could be all the difference in turning the public perception of this series around.

There have been reports that Space Force is coming back for season 2. Netflix has yet to confirm the news, but the renewal seems inevitable at this point.
