Disappointing Netflix shows: Marvel’s Iron Fist
Marvel’s Iron Fist was the worst of the Netflix-Marvel shows, and it wasn’t really that close. The series ran for 23 episodes, 13 in the first season and 10 in the shortened second season, before Netflix canceled the series.
Iron Fist tells the story of Danny Rand, the son of a billionaire who was presumed dead when his dad’s plane crashed in the mountains. Actually, Danny survived, and he returns to New York City with a magical fist.
I don’t know exactly where Iron Fist went wrong exactly, but it definitely didn’t have the same gritty feel of Daredevil, Luke Cage and Jessica Jones.
Iron Fist wasn’t all bad, though! While some didn’t like Finn Jones as Danny Rand, it wasn’t really his fault. Jones played the part well, in my opinion, but the character was always set up to fail by poor choices.
The best part of the series was Colleen Wing, played by Jessica Henwick, and her relationship with Misty Knight, played by Simone Missick. Fans got their hopes up that there would be a Daughters of the Dragon spinoff series at Netflix, but those hopes were dashed when Netflix canceled the show.
Overall, Iron Fist could have been better, and that’s why it made our list of disappointing Netflix shows.
