Last Chance U: Final season coming to Netflix in July, but it’s not really the end

Last Chance U season 5, the final season, premieres on  July 28

Last Chance U returns for its fifth and final season on Netflix this July, and a spinoff of the series is coming to Netflix next year.

The final season of Last Chance U, the hit Netflix original docuseries, is coming to Netflix on July 28, 2020.

This season on Last Chance U, we get a look inside the Community College of Laney College. Laney College is a JUCO school located in Oakland, California, and the Eagles are looking to defend their 2018 National Championship.

Just like every college football team, the Eagles try to navigate their way to a successful season by working through injuries, off the field troubles, and any obstacles that stand in their way. Anything short of a National Championship would be considered a failed season on the field.

Last Chance U is a raw, emotional and real documentary that gives viewers an inside look at just how tough things can get on these players. JUCO is a second chance for these kids to prove themselves and make it to the next level of their playing careers.

It’s a bummer the series is ending, but this isn’t the end!

According to Deadline, a Last Chance U spinoff series is coming to Netflix in 2021. Last Chance U: Basketball will be the new Docuseries to hit Netflix in 2021. The new series will follow an East Los Angeles Community College basketball team for their 2019-2020 season.

While Last Chance U is coming to an end on the football side of things, the series will shift their focus to basketball in 2021. You can expect the same raw emotion, passion and intensity that the football side of the series brought us.
