Lucifer season 5: A possible premiere date leaks on Netflix

Lucifer season 5 is coming to Netflix on Aug. 21, according to a leak online

It looks like the premiere date for Lucifer season 5 has accidentally been leaked online! Lucifans have been going wild since late Sunday night, June 21, with reports that Netflix is showing Aug. 21, 2020, as the release date.

After seeing the reports, I ran to my Netflix account to check it out myself but I may have arrived too late because I’m not seeing it. Still, there are enough fans on Twitter claiming to have spotted it for me to be excited!

An Aug. 21 release date gives us just under two months to prepare! While we wish it was one week (or tomorrow) instead of two months, simply knowing a premiere date is good enough!

Netflix Life recently reported that Lucifer will not be arriving on the streaming titan in July. We speculated on when we could hear news and shared that it’s coming sooner rather than later, well, this works out just fine!

Is Lucifer season 5 really premiering on Aug. 21, 2020?

We are sitting tight and waiting (a bit impatiently) for Netflix, or someone from Lucifer‘s team, to officially confirm the news for us. Once they do, I say we can officially celebrate. And we’re betting this isn’t the only great news on our favorite series.

Don’t forget, Deadline broke the news earlier this month that Warner Bros. is hosting a DC FanDome Virtual Experience that will feature talent from multiple DC films, TV shows, and even comic favorites! This includes Lucifer and is set to happen on Aug. 22.

Judging by the date of the DC FanDome Virtual Experience being on Aug. 22, they couldn’t have possibly planned on revealing the Lucifer season 5 release date at that time. What else can they reveal? The release date for Part 2 of Lucifer season 5, perhaps?

Better yet, what if they plan on making a sixth season, after all? A Lucifan can only hope! Either way, we’ll be sure to keep you posted!
