This June, 2017’s Before I Fall ranks as one of the top Netflix new releases, and it’s the perfect time fo rediscover a forgotten favorite or discover a new favorite altogether.

Based on the novel of the same name by Lauren Oliver, Before I Fall stars Zoey Deutch as Samantha Kingston, a high school student who appears to have everything. Between popularity and a boyfriend, Sam has it all, including a promising future. But that all changes when she dies in a car accident. Even though she’s lost her life in the accident, Sam finds herself waking up and living the same day over and over again, left to untangle the untold mysteries of her closest friends and realize how much meaning a single day could hold.

Before I Fall comes from director Ry Russo-Young, who also directed the movies Nobody Walks and The Sun Is Also a Star. Upon release, the film earned mixed to positive reception, holding a 64% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. However, Before I Fall struggled at the box office and only brought in $18.9 million against a budget of $5 million.
