Stranger Things season 4: 5 supporting characters who need to return

We met Mayor Larry Kline (Cary Elwes) in Stranger Things 3 as the recently elected mayor of Hawkins, Indiana. However, we quickly learned that he was more corrupt than we could imagine, going behind everyone’s backs and leasing land to Starcourt Industries to essentially help out the Russians with their “portal” machine that opened up a gate to the Upside Down.

Toward the end of the season, we found out that Kline teamed up with Russian hitman Grigori once Hopper and Joyce found out what was going on. Hopper already had some major dirt on Kline so it’s likely that Kline would do anything to keep that from seeing any light.

On the surface, in Stranger Things 3, Mayor Kline just seemed like every other “corrupt politician” type villain. However, I think he could be more than that, especially with all of his involvement and connections with the Russians in Hawkins. I would love to see Mayor Kline come back for Stranger Things season 4 somehow, even after being arrested at the end of season 3.

I could definitely see him becoming another major villain moving forward. Even though he’s presumably still in jail, I wonder if there’s any way we could see him wreak more havoc in our heroes’ lives. What if he teamed up somehow with Dr. Brenner? What if he went to go help out the Russians’ projects behind the scenes?

Whether he’s a politician or not, I hope we haven’t seen the last of Mayor Larry Kline!
