5. Paco and Claudia return

There are several people from Joe’s past who can easily connect the dots and realize why trouble is always finding him. Joe may not be a suspect in Henderson’s murder thanks to Fincher catching Forty Quinn in the act of nearly shooting Joe. That was not a good look for Forty, and with Forty’s shaky history with Henderson, it was an easy case for Fincher.

The Quinn family was quick to bury this so that it wouldn’t hurt their family, including Joe. But I doubt that things are over here. There’s just too much evidence. Fincher shouldn’t be our biggest worry, though. It needs to be Paco and Claudia.

You fans remember Paco and Claudia from season 1. They were Joe’s neighbors. Paco and Joe were close. Joe always seems to be a sucker for a troubled youngster, he can’t resist helping them out. In Paco’s case, he had an abusive father figure in Claudia’s boyfriend, Ron.

Season 1 explained Joe’s mental abuse from Mr. Mooney, his boss and early caregiver, but season 2 further showcases the abuse Joe went through at the hands of his own father. In the end, Joe kills Ron to protect Paco after Ron put Paco’s mother in the hospital.

Paco tried to kill Ron himself, but Joe stopped this. Paco also learned how to hide evidence thanks to Joe, and knew about Beck being trapped in Joe’s bookstore basement. Let’s just say, Paco knows too much. He cares for Joe, though, and will likely not say anything, but you have to wonder.

There’s also the fact that Claudia and Paco moved to California, where Joe now lives. It’s a big state, but could it be a coincidence or will they see each other again next season?
