Christmas Day is the time to relax with family, enjoy great food, and binge-watch good TV shows. Here are five good Netflix shows to watch this Christmas Day.

Can you believe it’s Christmas Day already! Another year has flown by. Gone are the days where there was nothing to watch on TV. With streaming services, there’s always something great to check out. But where do you start on Netflix?

Sometimes streaming services are a little overwhelming. There’s a lot on, both old and new. That’s what I’m here. We’re looking at five good Netflix shows to check out this Christmas Day. One of them may surprise you.

5. Chilling Adventures of Sabrina

This isn’t the surprising show that I was talking about, but it may surprise some of you. Chilling Adventures of Sabrina is a series about witches, based on the Archie comics, but it has a holiday-themed episode which was released in time for Christmas last year. Instead of Christmas, it’s focused on Winter Solstice, a pagan holiday.

The full first season is now available, unlike just half a season last Christmas. This year, you’ve got plenty of great episodes and lots of character development to enjoy. Plus, the third part is out in January, so Christmas Day is going to be the perfect time to catch up.

4. Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt

There’s one excellent comedy that is a must for Christmas Day. Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt (I dare you not to start singing the theme song) was a breath of fresh air when it was released. While it was a satire about a woman who had been abducted into a cult as an eighth-grader, it also offered us a lot of hope. Kimmy may not have graduated high school, but she was ready to face the big wide world.

The series brought some excellent moments as Kimmy met various people in her journey around New York. As she learned more about life, she also taught others about kindness, standing up for themselves, and chasing their dreams.

It’s a heartwarming series and there are some excellent holiday moments to check out.

3. Merry Happy Whatever

Finally, we’re onto an actual Christmas series. Merry Happy Whatever is the newest show to reach Netflix on our list, and it’s all about a family during the holiday season. Dennis Quaid stars as Don Quinn, a father who has to navigate the holiday stresses when his daughter’s boyfriend stays for Christmas.

This isn’t just any daughter. It’s his youngest, and we all know how fathers feel about their youngest daughters dating. There are plenty of laughs and comedic moments, but also some beautiful, heartfelt moments throughout the eight-episode season.

2. Fuller House

The She-Wolf pack is back. Fuller House is a must for Christmas Day, especially for fans of Full House. The revival brought back the majority of your favorite characters (sorry, the Olsen twins decided not to reprise their role of Michelle), and had many of the same great jokes and settings.

We’ve followed the characters as they’ve grown up. Now it’s time to see them come back together and raise their families as one. While the fifth season is the last, there are still some more episodes to come. Christmas Day is the perfect time to binge-watch this great comedy ready for the final episodes in 2020.

1. YOU

This is the one that will likely surprise you. I mean, who would think a series about a stalker is a good option? Well, as surprising as it is, YOU certainly belongs on the list. And not just because it’s a great series.

Based on the book by Caroline Kepnes, YOU follows Joe, a bookstore manager who gains an obsession for Beck. This obsession turns dangerous, as he finds himself stalking her every move. And Beck puts everything on social media!

Why is this the perfect Christmas Day binge? Well, YOU season 2 drops the day after. Whether you’ve watched the first season before or not, you’re going to want to watch it and get a reminder of all events before the second season.
