5 places Eleven and the Hawkins Heroes could visit in Stranger Things 4

There’s reason to believe our heroes could be taking a trip across the pond to London in the new season.

This pick might come as a surprise to many fans because it hasn’t been discussed all that much. There are a few connections with London that seems too coincidental to be a coincidence.

In the Stranger Things 4 renewal announcement, which included the “We’re Not In Hawkins Anymore” tag, we can hear chimes, and it looks like there is a clock tower. Interestingly, it looks and sounds a lot like Big Ben.

There’s a chance, of course, that it could be a random clock tower or even the Hawkins clock tower. And, chimes sound like chimes, so we could be off the mark. But, I don’t think so.

Who do we know from London? Well, that’d be Kali. Remember Eleven’s sister from season 2? She is from England, and she was taken and brought to the Hawkins National Lab where she was the subject of experiments and tortured just like Eleven.

With a show like Stranger Things, the origins of all these characters are very important. Kali isn’t from London just because the Duffer Brothers wanted her to be. There has to be more to her story, like there’s more to Hopper’s story, more to Eleven’s story, and all the other characters’ stories.

If you think the pasts of these characters don’t matter, you’re missing the whole point of Stranger Things. In the first season, Hopper was trying to stop what happened to him — his child dying — from happening to Joyce. There’s more to it, but that appears to be his primary motivation.

In season 2, Will’s past was the only way our heroes were able to learn how to stop the Mind Flayer. Joyce, Jonathan and Mike were able to get through to him by reminding him of their favorite memories of him.

In season 3, Eleven did the same thing to Billy. She was able to bring back a memory from Billy’s past, one of his only good memories, to break the Mind Flayer’s hold on him.

What happened in Kali’s past? Could that have an impact on season 4? It could be one of the reasons our heroes will end up in London.
