Remove the overwhelm on Netflix. Here are five good movies to watch this weekend (Nov. 23-24), including The Knight Before Christmas, Coco, and more.

It’s time to avoid the overwhelm on Netflix but catch up on some great releases. There have been some excellent movie releases this weekend, and there’s one movie to watch that’s leaving Netflix next week. Whether you want Christmas or action, we’ve got you covered with this list of five good movies to check out this weekend, Nov. 23-24.

5. End of Watch

Jake Gyllenhaal and Michael Peña star in End of Watch, about two longtime LAPD partners and friends. They take to the streets of some of the most dangerous parts of LA, bending the rules if they have to. They will always have each others backs, even when they end up running afoul of a vicious Mexican cartel. For those who want a cop drama, you’ll want to check out End of Watch this weekend.

4. Lorena, la de pies ligeros

For those who love documentaries, Netflix released one earlier this week. Lorena, la de pies ligeros follows marathon runner Lorena Ramírez. She’s part of the Rarámuri community and has a beautiful but grueling story to tell.

3. Dream/Killer

When a son is convicted for murder just because of a dream that he’s had, a father decides it’s time to take on the judicial system. He needs to see his son walk free. The question is whether the son is innocent or if that dream was a reality. This 2015 movie is a true crime documentary, perfect for those who love the likes of Making a Murderer.

2. Coco

Coco is leaving Netflix during next week, so this is your last weekend to sit around with the kids and watch it. Okay, sure, you’ll be able to check it out on Disney Plus very soon but this is your last chance with this current subscription. Miguel’s family has banned music, but Miguel decides to defy them and pursues his love for singing. The kids will love it.

1. The Knight Before Christmas

If you’re in the mood for a Christmas movie, there’s only one to check out this weekend. Vanessa Hudgens stars in The Knight Before Christmas, as a science teacher who has fallen out with love. She no longer believes in it, but a knight from the 14th century who has somehow time-traveled to her may help her change her mind. Those who love Hallmark and Lifetime Christmas movies will adore this one.
