Disney Plus launches on Tuesday, Nov. 12. We picked five good movies and shows to watch on launch day, including The Mandalorian, Noelle and more!

We’re officially one week away from the launch of Disney Plus, Disney’s new streaming service, and there will be tons of movies and shows to stream!

If you still haven’t signed up for Disney Plus, you can do that now. The subscription will cost $6.99 per month, if you choose to sign up monthly. If you want to pay for the full year upfront, the streaming service will cost, $69.99.

We looked through the list of all the movies and shows available to stream on Disney Plus on launch day, and picked a few that you need to watch on Day 1!

If you’re still on the fence about signing up or if you need recommendations to watch on launch day, check out our list of good shows and movies to stream!

The Mandalorian

The Mandalorian is the biggest new Disney Plus show. It’s the first live-action Star Wars TV series, and fans around the world have high hopes for this series.

Pedro Pascal stars as Mandalorian, a bounty hunter. The series follows his journey through the greater Star Wars Universe in a galaxy far, far away. According to Disney, the film takes place a few years after the events of The Return of the Jedi and two decades before The Force Awakens.

The Mandalorian has an incredible cast with Nick Nolte, Giancarlo Esposito, Ming-Na Wen, Gina Carano, Carl Weathers, Taika Waititi, Emily Swallow, Bill Burr, Werner Herzog, Mark Boone Junior, Omid Abtahi, and more!

This is, I think, everything Star Wars fans have ever wanted. There’s so much to love about this new series. I really hope it lives up to the hype, and I’m expecting it will.

New episodes of The Mandalorian will be added to Disney Plus weekly!

Check out the trailer for the series below!

It’s officially the holiday season, and Disney Plus has a new Christmas movie for you! Starring Anna Kendrick and Bill Hader, Noelle tells the story of the Kringle family. Hader stars as Nick, Santa’s son, who is first in line to take the big job. After a breakdown, Noelle, played by Kendrick, tries to get her brother ready for Christmas, according to Disney.

I have a feeling this is going to be one of the breakout movies of the year. It’s going to be a must-watch this holiday season!

Lady and the Tramp

Lady and the Tramp is getting the Disney live-action treatment! The new film will be available to stream on Tuesday, Nov. 12. There’s going to be a ton of fans of the original film tuning in for this one.

Like all the Disney movies, this film has a great voice cast, including Tessa Thompson, Justin Theroux, Kiersey Clemons, Sam Elliott, Ken Jeong, Janelle Monáe, Yvette Nicole Brown, Thomas Mann, and F. Murray Abraham.

High School Musical: The Musical: The Series

High School Musical is back with the most ridiculously titled TV show of all time: High School Musical: The Musical: The Series. If you’re a fan of High School Musical, this is going to be a must-watch on the streaming service.

In the series, Miss Jen (Kate Reinders), a drama teacher at East High School, puts on a winter musical to celebrate the hit film, High School Musical, according to Disney. Sounds a little odd, but hey, they’ll make it work somehow!

The new series premieres on Nov. 12!

The Star Wars Movies

Almost all of the Star Wars movies are available on Disney Plus. As far as I know, this is the first time most of the movies have been available to stream on one streaming service in the United States.

Unfortunately, Star Wars: The Last Jedi and Solo: A Star Wars Story are not on Disney Plus. You can watch both those movies on Netflix, though. If you have Disney Plus and Netflix, you can watch all the Star Wars movies next week!

With Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker coming in December, it’s the perfect time for your Star Wars marathon!
