At Los Angeles Comic-Con, cast members from The Office stopped by to talk about the still popular NBC series. During their panel, a few of them commented on the growing mystery surrounding Scranton’s very own strangler.

The Office has become notorious for concealing the Scranton Strangler’s identity and fans are still obsessing over who the killer is. Suggestions have ranged from the random guy who was sent to prison for the strangler’s crimes to Toby Flenderson (Paul Lieberstein) himself, though no one knows exactly who did it. Fortunately, the cast keeps dropping hints.

At LACC 2019, the cast got on stage for their main panel where one of the questions pertained to the Scranton Strangler’s identity. The question posed sought to either confirm or rule Toby out as the killer, but what pricked up our ears was another cast member’s reaction.

When the question came up, Creed Bratton playfully faked a walk off the stage. Creed returned to his seat, but the mere suggestion of him being the Scranton Strangler has us thinking. He did always seem to pop up in the oddest places, including the work bus on the one day that Dunder Mifflin used it.

While there’s a chance Bratton was merely having fun with the audience, we can’t rule him out as a possible suspect. George Howard Skub received a conviction for the Strangler’s murders and his violent outburst during Toby’s visit didn’t make his case any better. Of course, it may have been because he’s innocent.

A normal person would react the way Skub did, especially if they came face-to-face with one of the jurors who sent them to prison for crimes they didn’t commit. That makes Skub’s reaction that of an innocent man.

So with the former murderer seemingly ruled out, Creed Bratton is once again our prime suspect. And the actor’s sudden reaction at LACC gives us more reason to believe that Bratton is the real strangler. There’s no way to confirm it at this time but the truth will eventually have to come out. The question merely is: When will it happen?

Do you think Creed Bratton is the Scranton Strangler? Let us know in the comments.
