Find out where to stream Henry Selick’s Coraline just in time for the Halloween 2019.

Ten years ago, the film adaptation of Coraline came rolling into our lives. A decade later, there’s no better time than the Halloween season to revisit this stop-motion classic. Fortunately, the film is currently available to stream on Netflix all the way through Halloween.

Coraline has been on Netflix since 2017, and there’s no time like the present to check out this underrated gem. This film was directed by Henry Selick, who also directed the Halloween classic Nightmare Before Christmas.

Coraline follows an 11-year-old girl who is left to her own devices after she moves with her parents to the Pacific Northwest. Quickly, she discovers an alternate world hidden behind a strange door in her family’s new apartment.

Quickly, she discovers that different doesn’t necessarily mean better, as this world of doppelgängers presents new danger and mystery behind every corner.

Allegedly a children’s movie, Coraline is just as unsettling as any psychological horror movie you’ll find this spooky season. So, it’s definitely a worthy addition to any Halloween watch-list.

Netflix has no shortage of movies to stream this fall, even if you’re not looking for something explicitly of the Halloween variety.

Ultimately, with its gloomy atmosphere and ambience, one-of-a-kind soundtrack, and increasingly disturbing character design, Netflix has a true treasure in its library. This film is one of a select few that can claim to successfully creep out parents and kids alike.

After all, there are only two kinds of people in the world. There are people who admit to being scared of Other Mother, and there are liars.

Since shows and movies are leaving Netflix all the time, what are you waiting for?

If you’re one of the people who has yet to see this adaptation of Neil Gaiman’s novel, strap on your spookiest socks and get ready to see one of your new favorite movies. If you’re a fan of the film, give it a watch anyway to set that spooky Halloween spirit!
