Quantico
QUANTICO – “The Conscience Code” – It’s been three years since American hero Alex Parrish has had to navigate the dangerous waters of the Central Intelligence Agency and put her life on the line for her country. She has been living a peaceful, anonymous life somewhere in Italy. However, Alex is forced to abandon this idyllic existence when Ryan persuades her to help him rescue Shelby from a notorious international arms dealer known only as The Widow, who is holding her hostage – and in exchange for her release she demands something that only Alex can provide, when “Quantico” premieres for its third season, THURSDAY, APRIL 26 (10:00-11:00 p.m. EDT), on The ABC Television Network. 25. Quantico

What it’s about: Alex Parrish is just one of 21 recruits at the FBI training facility in Quantico. It’s supposed to be the exciting start of the rest of her life, but she finds herself in the middle of a terrorist attack.

Told with two timelines running parallel to each other, we learn more about the friends and enemies Alex makes at Quantico, along with the lead up and aftermath of the attack. Was Alex the one involved or is she being framed because of her ethnicity? And if she’s being framed, who is the one behind it?

Why it’s loved so much: The first season was intense and different. It was able to use two timelines in a smart way, running them parallel. Both timelines connected in some way, whether it was offering answers as to why friends fell out or the secrets that some of the FBI recruits were holding.

While the second and third seasons weren’t as popular, they did continue Alex’s growth as a character. The supporting cast also gained a good amount of character growth and story telling, making them feel like real characters and not just disposable members of the team.

Why it could be leaving Netflix soon: Quantico was an ABC show and produced by ABC Studios. While that means the show won’t head to HBO Max or NBCU Universal, there’s another streaming service to look out for.

ABC is now owned by Disney and Disney has a full stake in Hulu, as well as its own Disney+ streaming service coming soon. It’s highly likely that ABC will start to pull some of its shows from Netflix and put on its own streaming services. Considering this is a little on the adult side, I’d hazard a guess that this would go to Hulu in the future.
