Money Heist is now the most watched Netflix show ever

The Spanish television series Money Heist has robbed Stranger Things of popularity and become the most-watched show on Netflix, ever!

La Casa de Papel is ruling hearts and it is all the world is talking about now! Created by Álex Pina, Money Heist part 3 was released on Netflix this July and within just the first week of its premiere, the show crossed over 34,355,956 viewers!

Beating Orange Is the New Black‘s finale season and pushing Stranger Things down from peak popularity, the Spanish series is now the most-watched non-English show on Netflix of all time and one of the most popular shoes ever, according to Metro.

Starring Úrsula Corberó, Itziar Ituño, Álvaro Morte, Miguel Herrán, Paco Tous, Pedro Alonso and Alba Flores, Money Heist first premiered on Antenna 3 in 2017 and was later acquired by Netflix who renewed the show for part 3 in late 2018 owing to its ever-growing popularity!

And, the recently premiered part 3 packed such great suspense and action, it kept the viewers glued to the screens (let’s not even get started on that amazing season finale) and smashed viewing records at Netflix.

The thrilling story of the masked thieves has impressed the global audience so much that the streaming giant is already working on the production of Money Heist part 4. According to Variety, the fourth installment of the show was always on the cards, even before the part 3 premiered and it will consist of 45-minute episodes.

Money Heist part 4 is set to release on Netflix next year. It is safe to assume at this point that season 4 will finally wrap up the heist. But who knows, since the show is proving to be such a huge moneymaker, Netflix just might keep continuing it for a few more seasons and send the thieves on another adventure.

The show’s success is echoing worldwide and recently it was reported that famous Indian actor Shah Rukh Khan has purchased the rights of the show and his production house Red Chillies is working on a Hindi movie remake of Money Heist.
